My wife and I really like the Steak and Ale pie when we call at the pub but we’re disappointed as they had sold out and we ended up choosing something else off the menu. I had the lasagna off the main menu and my wife ordered the beef mince pie off the daily menu. The meals were okay but not great.

+ Rustic room but modern, comfortable amenities with everything you need - In our room (15) there was truck noise early in the morning. There are stairs to access the room, if that's a problem.

+ The evening meal was lovely as always (Lamb Shank). Did not have breakfast. Always a good atmosphere in the bar area, not been in the Restaurant.

+ Great location large room friendly staff good meal - Advertised on site parking but on arrival told to park in public car park down the street even though the onsite car park was nearly empty

One of the oldest Inn’s in Wales. Inside the Castle walls and totally unique. An awesome cute tiny pub and they say the Inn has a resident ghost! Only a 5 minute walk to Castle Caernarfon which is an amazingly well preserved castle from 1283.

+ Comfortable queen size bed and good pillows, good size room, lovely bathroom, good quality fittings, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, lots of power points and USB slots. Very clean throughout. Breakfast was choice of hot food, cereals, toast, fruit, yogurt. Ate there both nights and food was excellent. Good size portions, brought out fairly quickly, and very tasty. We loved everything about our stay at the Black Boy Inn. The room was so nice, large and comfortable. We even had a kitchenette. Great location and terrific food. Historic atomosphere!

Absolutely lovely food. We visited twice during our stay in Caenarfon, once for evening meal and once for lunch. Staff are amazing, really helpful and considerate as we travelled with my disabled Grandad. Will definitely be back!
