Nice Pub/Restaurant with accom Robes would've been nice in rooms, a couple of noisy scousers nearby at night. Bar service would've been better if lad serving didn't stand by till and say "ok" But maybe "hello, can I help you". Ate there 3 times during our stay nice food good portions. Situated in good spot with outside seating, swings and slide for little one's.

+ The Black Boy is an exceptional property, from its town centre location to its most comfortable beds, it is excellent. Then, on top of all that, its staff are all superb, could not be more helpful and cheerful ! - Unfortunately, there’s no lift but that’s a minor inconvenience for a great pub/ restaurant/ accommodation.

We just happened to pop in for a bit of lunch and a pint WOW AMAZING PLACE, absolutely stunning, SPOTLESSLY CLEAN.... the waitress who has been there 8 years (sorry can't remember your name) she was so very knowledgeable about the pub, the street which makes such a difference when visiting, we have moved to the area so we will most defi...  See More

+ Location to the castle was perfect. We felt like we were within the castle walls and living part of history. The restaurant was fantastic English Pub food for dinner and the staff were friendly and helpful. What a great surprise in an out of way location as part of our trip to Wales. - Parking was down the street away from the hotel but they helped us find the free parking.

We stayed two nights and we had a very comfortable time. Our room was spacious. The property is well kept-better than many other historic hotels we’ve stayed at in the past. The breakfast was good and the snack selection in the bar was good. We didn’t eat a meal, but the nachos were delicious. The best thing about this place were the staff. Every person we talked to was friendly, helpful and effic...  See More

+ Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent! It was fun staying in the middle of such a busy, bustling town. - Lots of stairs up to our room, but it was worth it!

We have just returned from the most amazing stay at the Black Boy Inn. We arrived with a lot of trepidation after a less than perfect stay the previous night in Llanidloes. As soon as we walked through the door we breathed a huge sigh of relief. We had a wonderful welcome and immediately felt at home. The Black Boy Inn is in an ideal location in the centre of Caernarfon. There is limited parkin...  See More

Beautiful pub and hotel right in the heart of Caernarfon. Rooms are in their own buildings around the pub. Castle and town walls are at your doorstep. Beautiful town to walk and discover. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We had the buffet breakfast and had plenty to choose from. They do have hot breakfast as well. Great place to stay when in town

Came up from Brighton to do the Snowdon climb the day before. Popped in with a couple of friends and my dog. They ordered pints and I an tea. The barman was an absolute pleasure, served the lads and wouldn't charge me for the tea. Also offered water for my dog Banjo. Small offerings but done in such a genuine way. Would loved to have stayed longer but will make point to revisit. Great pub and an o...  See More
