Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways Victorian Weekend: October 4th-6th

The oldest railway company in the world still operating trains, the Ffestiniog Railway know a little bit about making journey’s special. As a living museum, running passenger trains since Victorian times; with many of the older vehicles being lovingly preserved. The upcoming Victorian Weekend is the best way to experience these vehicles in the modern day.

Head to the best Victorian event of October, take part, dress up or just embrace the nostalgia. This year’s Victorian Vintage Weekend will be launched on Friday 4th October at 09:45 – along with some on-platform entertainment provided by the local primary school, Ysgol Eifion Wyn who will be singing live!

The railway station will travel back in time to the Victorian era, with costumed characters parading around the station, riding the trains and posing for photographs with patrons. The Harbour Station car park will be jam packed with stalls selling a wide variety of locally sourced produce, food and gifts. A special addition for this years event is the Ferris Wheel; ready to whisk you up to see the stunning views over the harbour and the town.

Head down for a great family day out, bring your camera to take some unforgettable snaps, and if you want to, step back in time!
